Gizmondo Finally Launches

At long long last, the Gizmondo finally launched over the weekend. It's priced at $229US, and was launched along with its 14 game lineup. There's also a satellite navigation package that takes advantage of the Gizmondo's GPS functionality. Tiger Telematics will introduce a mobile POP3 email service next week that'll make use of the device's tri-band GSM coverage.

More Apple Stuff-Ipod Nano Speaker Dock

Sorry to inundate you with even more Apple-related products, but might as well go with it while they're on a roll. The Microblast Speaker Dock, designed specifically for the iPod Nano, is damn good-looking and well-designed. It uses AA batteries and an AC Adapter lets you play music while charging. And since we all seem to be so worried about protecting our precious iPods, the Microblast's clear protective cover makes sure you won't get even a tiny scratch.

PSP Firmware Updates to 2.5

That's right guys, looks like Sony finally upgraded its PSP firmware to 2.5, avaialable through the Sony PSP network update. Doesn't seem all that exciting, though it looks like it includes the Location Free TV player and should be more stable against hackers.

Motorola Razr v2.0

The guys over at PSP updates (wait what?) got their hands on an engineers prototype of the updated Motorola Razr. It appears to look a little different than the one we covered back in September. The new phone features a MicroSD card slot, a 1.3 megapixel camera, a new bronze color, keypad backlighting is changed to dark blue, a Bluetooth light, upgraded color display and upgraded the internal memory to 18MB.

"One More Thing" Live and Uncensored

Just One More Thing? I've learned from a trusted source that there is going to be another, even bigger announcement from Apple next month. No Joke—the other shoe will drop. Let the rumors begin!
The presentation has begun, and Jobs says it will be in three acts—just like any great story.

Palm TX

Palm busted out a new handheld today, and its cool. The TX has integrated WiFI and Bluetooth, a 320 x 480 color screen, and 128 MB of persistent memory. It sports a built-in MP3 player, and can be used for viewing video or photo, natch. This is meant to replace the T5, although it has a slightly less powerful processor—312 MHz instead of 416 MHz&mdash.

Nokia E61 - All Business

The Nokia E-series, namely the butterfly-like E70, the candybar E60, and the QWERTY-tastic E61 aka the Smiler, are methadone to the Crackberry addiction. The E61, shown above, is the latest in Nokia's long war for the pockets of the business-class with support for "BlackBerry Connect, GoodLink from Good Technology, Nokia Business Center, Seven Mobile Mail, Seven Always-On Mail and Visto Mobile."

Mustek 60GB Personal Media Player

Mustek has announced the release of their new PVR-H160. This thing holds 60 gigs of stuff and can do pretty much everything. Sony Does Fashion Color Vaios

I don't know why it's taken so long for computer or CE companies to splash some color into their products. I think the iPod Mini proved that people will pay for (and actually want) a different color chassis. Motorola is finally making a Pink and Blue RAZR, and now Sony has introduced a line of new Vaios, called the FJ series that come in five different colors. "Onyx Black, Pearl White, Sky Blue, Jade Green and Raspberry Red casings are accented by similar shades on the bezels and palm rests of each PC."

The company is expected to reveal details of the new MP3 and video player as well as video bundles to be available from the company’s iTunes stores.”

Datel Launches 4GB Hard Drive for PSP

Datel, which also makes the X2 battery pack for the PSP, has come out with an integrated 4GB hard drive version, effectively making this an external hard drive for the PSP. The Datel MAX 4GB connects to the memory stick port of the PSP, and will utilize its built-in battery pack instead of sapping the PSP's power.

Nokia's SURV1: Squeals Like A Pig

Nokia's SURV1 concept is simple compared to some of the other more complex and bizare ideas they've been showing. It's just a ruggedized cellphone, both water- and shock-proof, that can be worn as a belt clip or a pendant. And of course, there are no buttons to get mussed up, just a touchscreen for easy dialing.

Dream'eo Enza Personal Media Player

Well, actually after further investigation this doesn’t look like a bad device. Yeah, it is just another PMP, but it operates on Windows Media Center edition and supposedly can sync up with your PC in some amazing manner that will fulfill your wildest syncing fantasies. It does the usual, tricks: pictures, video, music, etc.

Sony VAIO Living Room Computer

Sony launched a new VAIO for the living room dubbed the Type X. The VGX-XL70S was revealed at CEATEC 2005 in Japan, and it's a computer that easily blends in with any super-fancy home entertainment system. This thing is packed with a Pentium D 820 processor with 2.8 Ghz, up to 1GB of RAM, an Intel 845G Express chipset, an NVidia GeForce 6200 graphics card, and up to a whopping 1 Terabyte of hard drive space.

VoWLAN Phones Coming

Not coming to the US anytime soon (as we still struggle for 3G service), Nokia has announced the launch of its first VoWLAN consumer cellphone. Basically combining voice, data access and WiFi using a hybrid product (think mixing IMS and UMA), Nokia's first product is set to hit stores in early 2006.

Nokia Moves Back Internet Tablet

I love this product. Been waiting for it all year. And now, sniffle it looks like my wait will be even longer. I saw the Nokia 770 Internet Tablet at CES and was told the 770 would be released by Q3 this year. Bud sadly, it looks like Q4 is the new release date and we're expecting right before Xmas time.

Nokia 7290 (??)

No real details yet, but here are some pretty cool photos of the Nokia 7290, successor to the 7280. Thin, long and a true candy bar phone, it looks like it should have a megapixel camera with LED flash. But we'll have to wait and see. Pictures are kind of rough, so we suspect a fake.

Nokia 3250: Twists to Play Music

Seeing all these new music phones emerge really makes the ROKR seem rather pathetic. Check out this new Nokia 3250: it has a twisting design that will transform the traditional phone keypad into one with dedicated music keys. The phone will be part of a new Nokia brand called XpressMusic, which will consist of Nokia models with dedicated music keys.

Every Phone Becomes A Music Phone: The 'New' Nokia 6630

You've already been teased with an announcement about this Nokia 6630 3G WCDMA phone, but now it's been re-positioned. The ROKR, for all its faults, has influenced several handset makers to play up the tunes.

Third Gen RAZR Leakage

Well hot diggity damn, we have some more breaking RAZR news. If you recall yesterday we highlighted the second gen RAZR that someone got theirs hands on. It seems that there is a third gen in the works.

Palm Opens Doors to LA-LA Land

Most of Palm's retail outlets are little satellite offerings in malls and airport terminals. But Palm is planning to open a full-fledged brick and mortar store in Los Angeles (apparently really close to Apple's LA flagship store). As with the other outlets, the idea is to let would-be consumers handle the Palm devices to see if they really want it, as well as have staff on-hand to answer questions (which will inevitably double with the introduction of Windows Mobile as an OS).

XBox 360 in Short Supply?

If you haven't pre-ordered your XBox 360 by now, you probably won't be getting your hands on that shiny white box by this holiday season — at least, if you want one from Amazon. Amazon U.S. has stopped taking pre-orders altogether, while Amazon UK and Amazon Germany posted this warning up on the product page:
